Presenting Complaints

Patient presented with unilateral eyetwitching for last 3 to 4 years, consulted various ophthalmologists , no particular disease found…but one eye twitching continued. It gradually increased in frequency over the whole day that it became embarrassing to him. Further he was loosing his income as he was driving taxi and loosing female passengers as the twitching gave wrong signals.

Diagnosis: Ocular Myokymia/ benign blepharospasm

Treatment: Botox injections for twitching were given and the patient improved dramatically and he is happy with the treatment and comes regularly for follow up and repeat injections of Botox as advised.
