Fractures of facial bones

Mandible, maxilla (jaw) ,zygoma (malar bone), nasal bones ,orbital bones (orbital blow out) and other bones may be fractured as a result of trauma which may cause bleeding ,deformity, diplopia, malocclusion etc. It requires an early intervention by a plastic surgeon to reduce and stabilize all these fractures by plating (internal fixation)

Soft tissue injuries-lacerations, abrasions ,crush and  contusions of  facial skin needs special care by a plastic surgeon for repair and to minimize the scar on the face.
